Everything You Want To Know About Fortnite

From spats with Google to the mysterious purple cube that seems to move at
random, Fortnite, is continuing to gain notoriety among gamers. Released by Epic
Games in 2017, Fortnite received an enthusiastic reception from fans hitting over 1
million players worldwide in August of 2018. The multiplayer game has also been
nominated for and received several awards. Whether you are looking for the best way to
play or are just discovering the game, here are a few things that every gamer should
know about Fortnite. Best of the Web (Suggested Post)

Modes: The game offers two modes-Fortnite: Save the World and Fortnite: Battle
Royale. Both modes are multiplayer, but each mode also offers its own advantages and
storylines. Fortnite: Save the World allows teams of up to four shooters to fend of
zombie like attackers and build defense fortifications. Meanwhile, Fortnite: Battle Royale
is exactly what it sounds like, allowing groups of up to 100 players to fight until one is
left standing. While Fortnite: Battle Royale isn’t the first of its kind, it brings plenty to the
table for its players and is definitely unique in its advantages. You can also build in
Royale, but more on that later.

Platforms: Fortunately for desktop-based gamers, both games are available on
Microsoft Windows and mac OS. Battle Royale is also available on Android and iOS
devices. Meanwhile, both games will be available on Xbox One and Playstation with
Battle Royale also available on Nintendo Switch. Both games are available for crossplay,
which allows players to come together no matter what gaming system they prefer
to use.

Pricing: Battle Royale is free to download. thought there are a few addons that you can
choose to buy. Save the World, on the other hand is offered in several bundles ranging
from $19.99 if you can find it on sale, to over $100 dollars.

Desktop Guidelines: Playing on a PC does have a few minimum requirements
including Windows 7 or higher and at least 4 GB of RAM. However, you really want to
go above the minimum to make sure that the game runs smoothly. Instead, it is
recommended that you have 8 GB of RAM, at least 2 GB VRAM and a mid-range
DX11GPU. A Core i5 2.8 Ghz is handy but the game tends to run smoothly and is not
graphically dense. The recommendations for Macs aren’t much different as long as you
have the Mac OS x Sierra. There are a few mac devices that aren’t recommended for
the game including the MacBook, iMac21.5-inch with Intel Iris Plus 640, and the Mac
Book Air 13 inch. The MacBook Pro with Intel Iris Pro Graphics is not recommended,
and the MacBook Pro with Radeon 555 may struggle. However, if you happen to have a
MacBook Pro with Radeon 560, you are good to go. Similarly, iMac 21.5 inch with
Radeon Pro 555 may struggle but the Pro 560 should work just fine.

Checking Settings: For a PC, simply type “dxdiag” into your search bar check on your
settings. Here you can check your RAM, Operating system and processor. Meanwhile,
to find out about your graphics card, hit ‘Display1’. For macs the process is even easier;
click on the apply icon, choose the ‘about this mac’ option and then choose the system
information window.

Popular Ad-Ons: Most seasoned gamers agree that the keys to Fortnite are good
display settings, a good controller and time. If you don’t have a controller that you can
connect to your PC, adjusting your mouse sensitivity settings can do the trick. Set your
mouse sensitivity and your mouse ADS sensitivity settings between 0.3 and 0.5. Since
you’ll be doing a lot of shooting, you should also set your scope settings. Your character
should be able to turn quickly and make a complete 360 turn at the swipe of the mouse
as this will allow you to spot dangers and goodies in the game. Some general settings
tips include turning off ‘show grass’ and shadows, setting your frame time to unlimited,
and turning off motion blur. Some gamers recommend stocking up on food and water as
well as finding a comfortable place to play because distractions can hinder your

General Tips: Long range weapons are your friend especially for Battle Royale.
Though short-range weapons are still useful, you want a good amount of distance
between yourself and your opponent. While holding your trigger for maximum kills can
work for some other games, it won’t have quite the same affect in Fortnite. Instead, aim
for well controlled shots and avoid getting killed. Battle Royale in particular is about
survival and not your kill count. Fortnite allows you to build structures, which
differentiates it from some other games out there but ramps that can help you get to
high places are much better than actual forts- especially in Battle Royale. Remember
that mastering Fortnite takes time and Save the World gives you a few practice
missions to help you get a handle on the game.

The in-game tutorials for both Fortnite games leave a bit to be desired, which is why the
gaming community has come together to make videos and within chatrooms to help
each other. If you are stuck or nervous you have plenty of resources for making friends
within the game, though this may not always be in your best interest in Battle Royale.
Fortnite is being hailed as the most popular game in the world and you have
plenty of options when it comes to downloading either mode. Are you playing?
